Blog for Victory Baptist Church of the Poconos
Today started cold, icy and snowy. It did not look like we would have many out. So our attendance was a little lower that normal. But, we did have several visiting families. PTL.
The baptism service was a great blessing. There were several unsaved family members attending because of it.
Overall, the spirit of worship and fellowship was refreshing. For me, it was an encouragement to be in God’s house today.

Friday and Saturday the ice was everywhere and I thought that on Sunday we would have problems.
We worked hard on Saturday to clear the parking lot at the church and on Sunday it was dry. The problem was that many of our people had iced driveways and that, in combination with all colds, had a negative impact upon attendance, but not on the spirit of the ones who made it to church. It was a great blessing to be with God’s people.
This Sunday was also the restarting of our Patch the Pirate Club. Not only were the kids excited, but their parents were as well. John Knittle is still doing a tremendous job in the PM adult class, we had a great class on syncretism….
