“It is Finished”

“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” ((John 19:30))

Not, “I am finished,” but “IT is finished.” Jesus was not defeated, He was victorious on the cross. He completed God’s eternal plan of redemption. He shed His precious blood for the sin of man. He suffered in my and your places, for our sins. The transaction has been paid in full, He paid the entire debt of sin with His life and His blood.
When you come to Jesus, trusting Him as your personal Savior, you can, with triumph, cry out with Him, “IT is finished.”
