My Peace I Give to You

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” (John 14:27)

All around us is turmoil. We see in the hoarding, the fighting, the anger and the desperation.

Why? People are fearful. Our world has turned away and spurned God. When a person does not have the God of the Bible in their lives all he has left is fear. Fear of disease, of suffering, of loneliness and ultimately of eternity.

In the midst of all this, Jesus simply states, “My peace I give to you.” How appropriate that the Prince of Peace would offer us peace.

First of all, a peace with God. A peace that is given when we accept Him as our personal Savior.

Then there is peace within, a knowing that all is well between us and God.

Finally, there can be true peace with others. When there is peace with God and within ourselves, then there can be peace among people.

So, do you have this peace that only comes from God?    – Pastor Stevens
